2016 was a big year for fashion. There were a lot of trends that we saw come and go this year. Some trends were spot on, and some were not as good. 2016 was the year for man buns to chokers. This year, the trends became more and more trendier and fashionable. Going from preppy style to boho style this year. Kim Kardashain "boxer" braids were trendy this year. Who can't ever forget the controversy with that. This year the trends were toned down a bit. We saw more trends that started from the runway and ended up being an actual trend. Here are 6 trends we can never forget this year.

1. Man bun

Before the man bun, we never would have seen a man pulling his hair into a bun. But, the man bun actually started on the runway at Men's Fashion Week. After being seen on the runway, man buns started becoming a trend. You would see the manliest men wearing a man bun. From the corporate working man to the buff always working out man. Man buns became a huge trend. Even celebrity men were rocking a man bun. The man bun was by far a good trend. Man buns should stay a trend in 2017.

2. Chokers

Chokers have always been a trend. This year was different for chokers. This year chokers were made out of basically any material. From leather chokers to jean chokers. Chokers evolved this year a lot. Going from your basic metal choker to now "out of the box" chokers. These chokers became the trend earlier this year and during the summer of this year was well. These "out of the box" chokers were a good trend this year. If you ask me, "out of the box" chokers should stay a trend in 2017.

3. Distressed denim

Distressed denim has always been around. But late 2015 is when distressed denim started to rise in popularity. By early 2016 many people started to buy distressed denim and even make their own distressed denim. Distressed denim became a huge trend this year. From distressed denim jackets to even purses and shoes. Distressed denim is a huge hit, especially for the fall. This fall distressed denim was what everyone was rocking. It was and is a really good trend. Distressed denim should stay a trend in 2017.

4. Pencil skirts

pencil skirts has always been a trend. But this year they came back. Neutral pencil skirts have evolved as well. Now, they are tight-fitted and knee-length and shorter. the colors have evolved as well. there are so many different color pencil skirts being produced today. Neutral pencil skirts have been one of the biggest trends this year. Pencil skirts should stay in 2017.

5. Boho style

Boho style has been around for years. Boho style is a more updated style that is based off the hippie style. Boho style is a huge trend. We normally see boho style during the spring and summer. You can never go wrong with a boho style outfit, espically at a music festival. Boho chic is a new style of boho. This is one of the biggest trends this year. Boho style should stay in 2017.
