Candy corn has been on supermarket shelves for at least a month already, the stress of school is just short of killing you, and everyone is struggling to understand why it’s not as cold as it used to be regardless of various charts and statistics proving that the earth's gradual warming is not so gradual anymore and we will more than likely be experiencing summer heat in December within the next eight years. This can only mean one thing–fall is here! Yes, the time of year when high school girls break out their big floppy black hats and graveyards feel a bit more whimsical. But wait, are you up to par with your fall bucket list? If not, don’t freak! Make this fall one to remember with these seasonal suggestions!

1. Step on a leaf

The air is crisp and the morning is light. Your nose is nuzzled into your Burberry scarf and your fists are dug deep into the bowels of your pea coat, and then you see her. Contoured to perfection, delicately placed just at the edge of the sidewalk, crunchy, a brownish-gray. You tell yourself no, you can’t be hurt again. You’ve fallen for her type before and it’s only ended in the disappointment of a limp leaf. But maybe, this time, is different, maybe she’s the one. You decide life is too short and take a chance. Extending your foot, a shadow casts itself over her paper-thin physique. You take a deep breathe and release, gifted with the sweet symphony of her brittle bones cracking under your trendy footwear. You open your eyes and realize you did it, you can live again, you can love again.

2. Enjoy a pumpkin spice latte.

Super fun pumpkin flavor!

3. Befriend the bees at your local apple orchard.

They’re always there, but your past interactions have been more so of the swatting or killing variety. This time, try and befriend the bees at the apple orchard! You might not like their type hanging around your neighborhood but give ‘em a chance! Ask about the kids, the apples, the gradual extinction. You’ll be power walking and decorative throw pillow-shopping together in no time!

4. Buy a gourd.

The ugly ducklings of the pumpkin world. Can you carve them? Can you eat them? Who knows! But these pimply, discolored freaks are sure to deem you the trendiest tool on the block.

5. Soup.

Love her, take care of her, spoon her all night.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
