5 Expectations for Finals Week

The time is upon us once again: Finals Week. This week rolls around once a semester, twice a year, and it feels like the end as we know it. Everyone who skipped class, doodled instead of taking notes, or passed their iclickers onto a friend will be visiting every teacher begging for extra credit. Everyone who went to class, took notes instead of doodled, and took their friends iclickers will also be visiting every teacher begging for extra credit. No matter how hard you work or how much time you put into your class there is always room for improvement, at least thats what our professors and grades like to show. So here is a list of how thousands of college students will feel throughout the next upcoming weeks:

1. Exhausted

There will be absolutely no sleep. If you're sleeping then you're not studying, and not studying means you will fail. So don't expect to sleep.

2. The emotion hangry becomes real

The only activity that takes place, besides studying, is eating. If you aren't studying then you are munching on cookies, pretzels, grapes, really anything in my way could risk getting eaten.

3. The library is the last place to go during finals week

Everyone may think the library is the one place you should go during finals week, but they are wrong. The library is the most social place in all of campus. No one studies, but they go there so they think they have studied, but in reality they talked to their friends or took 150 study breaks.

4. We learn how to fake it, even if we can't make it

Finals week is the one week where we, as college students, learn how to fake and hide our emotions. We act like we know what the teacher is talking about, we tell our parents (and ourselves) everything will be fine, and we might even dress to pretend like it is.

5. The day after finals is better then Christmas

The blessed day after finals can make anyone smile. You know you're finished and somehow managed to pull it off.

So good luck everyone!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
