Throughout the world, there are a myriad of beautiful creatures, each with their own interesting habitats and niches. However, with climate changes, pollution, and other contributing factors, the number of endangered species is augmenting at a rate we can hardly keep up with. While few of us are actually environmentalists making a difference in the lives of these creatures, I'm hoping that the rest of you (myself included) will think twice about littering, emitting excess amounts of gas, and a multitude of other impacts we have on the environment after seeing these adorable pictures.
1. Amur Leopard
The Amur Leopard is a subspecies of leopards typically found in southeastern Russia and northeastern China, with only 35 remaining in the world.
2. Crossriver Gorilla
Native to tropical forests in western and central Africa, there are only about 300 left before this species goes extinct.
3. Galapagos Penguin
The Galapagos Penguin is endemic to the Galapagos Islands and is the only wild penguin to live north of the equator. Unfortunately, there are only under a thousand left in the world.
4. Hector Dolphin
The Hector Dolphin is the only endemic cetacean to New Zealand. However, their populace is limited to a mere 55.
