Black Friday has come and gone, and many of us have the empty bank accounts to prove it. While the ridiculously long lines at checkout can have you contemplating why you're shopping rather than spending time with your family, finding a parking spot in the first place is enough to make even the most dedicated shopper back out. Here's the 5 emotional stages every driver goes through trying to find a spot during Black Friday.
1. Hopeful
When you first pull into the parking lot and you think you're going to get lucky and find that front row spot.
2. Intimidated
At this point you've circled through all 15 rows twice and are thinking that maybe this was a mistake.
3. Pissed
You see someone about to back out, you think "this is your chance". All of a sudden a jacked-up F150 swerves around you and takes the spot.
4. Despair
You've given up. The 45 minute drive to the mall was pointless and now you have no gifts for anyone.
5. Satisfied
As you're driving away, disheartened and giftless, someone pulls out from the very last row and you are more than satisfied with the inconvenient spot.
