Making food is such a big struggle in college, and especially if you live off campus. There is so little time in the day between classes, clubs and activities. Knowing me sometimes I just don't want to settle for the Commons or Table Rock on campus. Here is a list of quick and tasty foods that you can whip up very fast you feel like a Food Network pro.

1. Grilled Cheese

A grilled cheese does not get the credit that it deserves. Even tho some may say it's a bland tasting sandwich I beg to differ. It all goes in what you put in your grilled cheese, there are so many types of grilled cheese. There is just the standard bread, cheese, and some butter. If you want to get fancy you can make one with some tomato or even bacon. Switching up what type of cheese you use can also make something tastier, so instead of American cheese use cheddar instead. If you're an avocado fan that can really add a twist of flavor.

2.Lo Mein

Whipping this dish up does not take long at all. If you think about it, you are boiling spaghetti, which at minimum takes around eight minutes to cook. Lo Mein is also the type of dish where you get to decide what you want in it. What kind of vegetables would you put and the type of meat you would put ( if you eat meat). If you are really pressed for time, you can use instant ramen. Cook all the chicken and veggies that you may want, and add that to the ramen, and season it with peppers and soy sauce.

3. Salad Wraps

Salad wraps can be done under 10 minutes depending on if you decide you want to use chicken. Salad wraps are basically a salad but clothed in a wrap. Many recipes will say to use a flour tortilla, but if you are like me and absolutely suck at folding wraps. There are these pocket thins, where I just stuffed my lettuce tomatoes, cheese etc right into them.

4. Snack Mix

This is can be when you want something really quick or it's that time where there isn't really anything in your house or dorm room except for miscellaneous items. So snack mix you can put anything you want generally if you had so type of wheat cereal, pretzels, M and Ms, almonds etc. You can put those together and make basically your own trail mix. Perfect when you are having a movie night.

5. Mac and Cheese

Step away from the microwavable mac and cheese! Stove top mac and cheese my take a little more time than the microwavable mac and cheese, but stove top is going to taste much richer (and is still very fast to make). Just boil the pasta of your choice, while the pasta is boiling mix flour and milk, then cheese until smooth. Next just add the sauce to the pasta, and boom you are down. If you want a little more flavor you can add pepper to the mix or you can even sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of it.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
