As you plan your lazy summer afternoon or your awesome pool party, take a moment to treat yourself with these five wonderful, cute recipes that have those summer vibes. All the recipes are easy to make and in no doubt, delicious. However, the further you read, the more challenging it will be!

1. Frozen Lemonade

A Dallas mom named Megan created this fun recipe. Click on the picture above or right here for full details of the recipe but it's really quite simple. Just put some lemonade with ice in a blender then, boom: frozen lemonade goodness. If you wanna add something exciting to it, add a scope of ice cream. Absolutely delicious and refreshing for those hot summer days!

2. 4th of July Ice Cream Cones

Need some added flare to your ice cream for this 4th of July? Well, with this super easy recipe by Rosanna Pansino is perfect! All you really have to do is coat the cone with melted chocolate then add some festive sprinkles all around it. It's nothing too crazy but it will at least catch many people's attention.

3. Classic Ice Cream Sandwich

It's so simple and obvious yet, I often forget that it's possible to make that. There are two ways you could make this. The first way is to squish together store bought cookies with your favorite ice cream flavor. The second way, which I think it more satisfying, is to bake your own cookies and squish them together with ice cream. Trust me, once you bake fresh cookies, you wouldn't want to buy store bought again. Recipe for homemade cookies can be found here.

4. Watermelon Rice Krispy Treats

This recipe takes a little more time to prepare but it's perfect for any summer outing! Basically, you melt marshmallows along with food coloring. Then you stir in your rice krispies into the two colored pots. Prepare a cake pan with some butter then outline the pan with the green rice krispies and the pink rice krispies for the center. Add in the chocolate for seeds and popsicle sticks to finish the look.

5. "Zootopia" Pawpsicles

Yes, it's possible to recreate the adorable ice popsicles from Disney's Oscar-winning movie "Zootopia." The talented Rosanna Pansino created this recipe on her YouTube show, "Nerdy Nummies." It only requires four ingredients to make and you would only need to buy a dog paw mold online. You would just combine all the ingredients in a blender and freeze them into the molds. There you have it—a delicious cherry pawpsicle. Perfect for a day by the pool or maybe for watching "Zootopia".

That's all for now! Thanks so much for reading! If you know a recipe for this summer, leave a comment down below. I'm always looking for something new to make.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
