The amount of food and alcohol consumed during the holidays can be frightening. Many of us are focused on being healthy in the new year, but, if we are being honest, it doesn't always happen easily. One way to kick start a healthier year is to prepare and drink a detox concoction. It is the perfect remedy to fight the bloat and uncomfortable feeling from our poor holiday diets.

1. Cranberry "Fat Flush"

- 1 oz. Concentrated unsweetened cranberry juice

-7 oz. water

Combine 1 part unsweetened cranberry juice to one part water to create a perfect detox. The flavor may take time to adjust to, but this is one of the cheapest and easiest way to ban bloat and lose water weight. Lemon can be added to improve flavor. *Ensure that the cranberry juice is 100% juice and unsweetened*

2. Lemon Ginger Tea

- 4 cups boiling water

-2-inch piece ginger root, thinly sliced

- 1 lemon, sliced

- Honey (optional)

Lemon ginger tea is delicious hot or cold and can be incredibly settling for a sour stomach. Combined, lemon and ginger have many health benefits and can ban bloat and promote weight loss. After boiling water, add the ginger and lemon and allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

3. Cucumber Mint Detox Water



Per Cup:

- 3 slices of cucumber

- 2-3 slices of lemon

- 4-6 mint leaves

The combination of cucumber, mint, and lemon work together to detoxify the liver and reduce bloating. Drinking a cup of this detox drink throughout the day and evening will help shed those holiday pounds.

4. Orange and Blueberry Detox


In Pitcher:

- 2 or 3 oranges, sliced

- 2 handfuls of blueberries

Oranges and blueberries are a lovely combination that not only make water delicious, but also have health benefits. Oranges are full of Vitamin C which boosts immunity and helps fend off colds. Blueberries are full of fiber and antioxidants.

5. The "Bombshell Spell"

- 1 tablespoon raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar

- 1/2 cup pineapple juice (fresh preferably)

- 1 tablespoon lime juice (fresh preferably)

- 1 tablespoon pure honey

This combination of ingredients is knockout when it comes to it's benefits and bloat fighting abilities. Pineapple has inflammatory properties, helps with digestion, and is pack full of immunity supporting vitamins. Apple cider vinegar has amazing detoxification benefits and is also boosting to immunity.
