If you know anything about me, it’s that I absolutely love shoes but if you know absolutely anything else about me it’s that I am ultimately just a broke college student that spends her small amount of money on alcohol (sorry mom), transportation, and food. But my lack of financial stability doesn’t make me love shoes any less. It just means that I can’t go out and order the $1,000 Gucci slides that I would literally sell my soul for. So instead, I have a compiled a list of some of the ‘trendiest’ shoes right now along with stores that sell much cheaper versions!

1. The Gucci Slide

Gucci slides with fur at the heel end are all the rage right now, but paying nearly $1,000- $995.00 to be exact, is just not a feasible option for many people and certainly not for me. Thankfully, Egoshoes.com is selling a version for $32.99 that looks almost identical.

2. Yeezy Season 2 Booties

"Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy," no really, it seems like these days everything is all about Yeezy. Especially the highly coveted season 2 booties that come in a wide variety of neutral colors. The only problem with these beautiful booties is that they are out of the price range, like way out of the price range (their retail price is $1,458.50). But fortunately for us, Ego shoes carries a pretty convincing dupe for only $44.99.

3. YSL Sparkly Booties

Everyone needs a little sparkle in their wardrobes, and the YSL sparkly booties that come in multiple colors are the almost perfect addition to absolutely anyone's closet. I say almost perfect because there is one downside to owning these beauties; you have to shell out close to $1,000. Luckily, Forever 21 has a similar version for $24.43. And while they are not exactly the same they offer up the same chic vibes.

4. Gucci Sneakers

Scrolling through Instagram, it is increasingly hard to miss all of this generation's 'it-girls' prancing around LA in anything but their Gucci flower embroidered sneakers. But as much as I wish, I was an 'it-girl', I am not and I definitely don't have the same budget as one. Thank god, for Ego Shoes, because once again they have come in handy with an equally stylish knockoff.

5. Stuart Weitzman Over the Knee Boots

Over the Knee Boots have become a style staple for the past few seasons. They go with absolutely everything and can be worn year round. The most popular, over the knee boot option, sold by Stuart Weitzman, retails at $795 and as a result, may not be the most popular option to your bank account. Have no fear! Being that this style of boot is in high demand many different stores have produced an almost identical version- for much less money.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
