Having been compared to the likes of Wednesday Addams and Daria Morgendorffor more times than once in my life, I think it's safe to assume I come across as relatively misanthropic to many of my peers. I can assure you I'm really not. I'm actually an incredibly warm-hearted and compassionate person, but, being rather introverted and having little tolerance for trivialities, I can still relate to the quiet, introspective cynicism and sarcasm of characters like Wednesday and Daria all-too-well. If you're an introvert who's always stuck in your head like me, you probably hold some semblance of this attitude as well. Let's take a moment to appreciate pop culture's Number 1 fictional brooding cynic since the late 90's. Here's 14 Daria scenarios most introverts can relate to:

1. When someone is talking about something completely unimportant and all you want in the world is for it to stop.

2. When annoying guys expect their cheesy pick-up lines to actually work on you, as if you don't have a brain and can't see right through them.

3. When you have to stand up and give a speech. (Even days of preparation don't actually prepare you).

4. Over-thinking literally everything and not being able to escape thinking of a negative outcome.

5. You talk to inanimate objects, especially when you're agitated with them. (You're really talking to yourself ABOUT the object, because you live in your head, but the people around you don't really know that).

6. When your taste in music reflects your personality.

7. When someone proves to you just how much of their brain they actually don't use.

8. When people think you're unhappy, but really you just feel no reason to constantly wear out your smile muscles. (Hello, RBF).

9. Anxiety and depression can sometimes be a huge issue for someone who thinks too much.

10. Sometimes, you just really don't feel like meeting people.

11. You find extroverts a little too "in your face".

12. Not wanting to go out, even when it's a special occasion.

13. Trying to look on the bright side is basically...

14. And you really don't know how to explain to everyone that you actually are happy, do love your friends and family, and sometimes enjoy being around others, but it's just, ugh, complicated...

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
