5 Best Concerts Coming To Atlanta Before 2017

Atlanta has one of the best music scenes in the country and these concerts are keeping that reputation going. With 2016 winding down and 2017 around the corner, Atlanta is loading up these last 2 months with nonstop concerts. Radio stations, Live Nation, and Rival Entertainment are packing venues with some of the best line ups I have seen in years. All of the artists on this list are notorious for playing to packed houses and leaving no song unsung. Don't wait until the last minute to buy tickets to these shows because you will miss out.

Get ready Atlanta, 2016 is going out with a BANG!

1. The 1975 - 11/22 at The Fabulous Fox Theatre

The 1975 are one of my favorite bands and I have been waiting for them to come back to Atlanta. Only 2 more days until they take the stage and play one of their infamous shows. Tickets are almost gone, so stop, drop, and roll over to the Fox Theatre box office to get yours before they sell out.

2. Manchester Orchestra Presents: The Stuffing - 11/23 at Center Stage

This is a DREAM!!! Manchester Orchestra is bringing Citizen, Into It. Over It, O'Brother, All Get Out, Jesse Coppenbarger (Colour Revolt), Microwave, Mighty, Holy + Gold.

How is this legal? How is this real life? But most importantly, who is coming with me to this SOLD OUT show??

3. 105.7 Holiday Spectacular: Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Kongos, The Struts, and Unlikely Candidates - 12/2 at the Atlanta Coliseum

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Happy Kwanza to me! This line up is unreal and I am so ready for this show! I have been patiently (but really impatiently) waiting for each of these bands to come to Atlanta, especially The Struts. My love for them started almost a year ago and soon I will be dancing to their music live! I can hardly wait for this Holiday Spectacular, but the good news is that they will all be here in 2 weeks!! Must buy my ticket today!

4. Star 94.1 Jingle Jam: Train, Charlie Puth, James Bay, and X Ambassadors - 12/4 at the Infinite Energy Center

Star 94.1 is not playing around with this line up. They are pulling on all my heart strings with James Bae and no, I did not spell that wrong. James Bay is Bae. X Ambassadors are blowing up the charts with every single they put out, and Charlie Puth is only One Call Away from being my new favorite artist (see what I did there?). Train is hands down one of my favorite bands to see live and their shows never disappoint or cease to amaze me. Don't wait for these artists come to back Atlanta to see them live. Go get your tickets to Jingle Jam right now and maybe, just maybe I'll let you sit with me.

5. Waka Flocka Flame with Lex Luger - 12/29 at Center Stage

Even though his Presidential campaign didn't go quite as planned, nothing will stop this Atlanta native from making new music and putting on out-of-this-world performances. Waka Flocka always makes sure his shows are extra hype when he comes home and back to Center Stage. This show is going to sell out FAST, so finish reading this sentence, click on the link, and get your tickets now.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
