I'm almost done with my freshman year, and I somewhat feel like I've got this whole college thing down. There are a couple of things that I've noticed that would help college students everywhere become more successful.

1. Do your laundry at an ungodly hour.

Nine floors of college freshmen, and only one laundry room? Its like a battle field, every person for themselves. If you wait till about 1 or 2 in the morning, all of the washers and dryers are open. Who needs sleep anyway? ( lets be honest, you're doing homework anyway.)

2. Don't have any friends.

If you don't have any friends, you will actually be able to finish your homework at a decent time.

3. Take showers at an ungodly hour.

It's the only way to assure that you have hot water, and good water pressure. Plus, an added bonus is most people wont be taking a shower super late at night. The trick is to time your shower late enough that no one will be there but, not too early into the night that people might be getting ready for an early class.

4. Make sure you press the right button on the elevator.

This one seems dumb, but anything is possible. I cant tell you the amount of times I've pressed for the first floor, only to realize I'm in the elevator, already on the first floor.

5.Don't be a jerk on the elevator.

Don't be that person that presses all the buttons right before they get off the elevator. it's a living nightmare for the next person who gets on.

These are just a couple of the things that I've learned and observed during my short time experiencing the college life. All of suggestions are supposed to be taken light hearted as every person's college experience is going to be different. Along with that, over your college career, things will change and you will find that things that didn't use to work before suddenly work and vice versa. So remember to be nice. Remember to take deep breaths. As cheesy as it may sound, follow your heart. Take pride in knowing that you're going to change over these four years, and hopefully it will be for the best. If there is ne thing yu cant take away form this, please let it be #5.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
