Whether you want to sit down with a friend and catch up or grab a quick latte in the morning (or evening), there are five coffee shops that every person should visit at least once this fall season. All have distinct atmospheres and delicious drinks and pastries for everyone's preference.

1. Thump Coffee.

With their big building, people can pack in without feeling crammed, and are still able to get their work done. They have a "social area" for those that just want to talk, or they have long tables where multiple people can work. Not only is their atmosphere the perfect combination of busy and peaceful, their drinks do not disappoint. They take their time to create the perfect cup of Joe, while also selling their own beans.

2. Amethyst Coffee Co.

Their motto "Coffee is Beautiful" shows through their carefully crafted coffee. Much like Thump, the baristas take their time with the coffee beans to create a delicious drink. Their shop is comfortable and is more for those who need to go get work done. It is a smaller area, but decorated quaintly. Their friendly staff greets you, reassuring you that your coffee will be brought to you shortly, even with a glass of water.

3. Roostercat Coffee Co.

Down and out of the way, Roostercat is a place for more socializing than getting work done. They have a wide menu, but the drink I drift towards is their lavender lattes. The right amount of lavender is added to their two shots of espresso and milk. They, along with Amethyst, have a outdoor fire place big enough for a group of friends that wish to relax together. During the day it is a quiet place, but in the evening people go to work in groups, read in the shops big couches, or talk with others.

4. Steam Espresso Bar.

Their traditional coffee menu makes for a strong experience. With plenty of seating inside and outside, this shop is comfortable for everyone. Their atmosphere is unique and busy with a rustic feel. Their coffee is carefully brewed with a signature drink being the Mocha. Their food and pastries pair deliciously with their coffee, and run out quick because of how yummy they are.

5. ink! Coffee.

With multiple locations, ink! is a great shop while you are out shopping, especially in Cherry Creek North. They have their own roasting facility in Denver, which makes for wonderful brewed coffee. A quiet place for the workers and a quick place for the goers. Although the staff is willing to make drinks off the menu, you cannot go wrong with the drinks on their menu.

Out of these five coffee shops, you are bound to find one that you like. As for me, I enjoy them all for different reasons. They all have deliciously brewed coffee, which is prepared carefully. Their atmospheres and decor are all so different, any of these five shops are great for any occasion.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
