It's that time of year, post-christmas but pre-new years resolutions. New Years eve is known for being a party holiday. Some of the cities associated are no suprise, but a few may suprise you.

5. New Orlean, Louisiana:

NOLA, one of my personal favorite cities, is the perfect place to spend New Years. Known for having an awesome nightlife, New Orleans, is automatically on this list. Just try to celebrate somewhere other than bourbon st., don't be that guy.

4. Los Angeles, CA:

Nothing says beauty like western USA. LA, no suprise there, is a great place to spend new years. LA has a bustling nightlife, which makes it a wonderful place to spend new years.

3. Charleston, South Carolina:

Yep, You read that correctly. The 843, also known as Charleston is a beautiful and historical city. Charleston, has a well noticed nightlife, as well as, beautiful and historical sites. Charleston is great place to spend a new years.

2. St. Louis, Missouri:

With the winter Classic coming this year to STL, I had to put it on the list. St. Louis, has tons of unique neighborhoods that make it a perfect city for nightlife. That coupled with the fact that the NHL winter classic is in town this year, makes STL a perfect spot for new years celebrations.

You probably predicted it, NYC, is the best place by far in America for NYE celebrations. Known for the unique Times Square countdown, NYC is the king of nightlife, and wears the #1 vote proudly.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
