It's nearly the end of the year, which means another New Year's Eve celebration. When you're a kid, that typically meant trying to stay up until midnight and ultimately failing. As you get older, you may start to hang out with your friends, or maybe even your family. But sometimes, you just don't know how to celebrate the New Year. Here are five great ways to ring in the New Year, and on a budget.

1. Netflix and Chill.

No, not that kind of Netflix and Chill. I mean, just grab some popcorn, some friends, and turn on Netflix. Binge watch a show (might I suggest "Marvel's Jessica Jones" or "Arrested Development," both of which I've been bingeing?) or watch a movie.

2. Have a potluck dinner.

Get a bunch of your friends to meet at one person's house, and have each person bring a dish of some sort. You can have a theme or just bring whatever you want. This way, everyone can eat, and you most likely aren't spending $130 on dinner for six people.

3. Reminisce about old times.

Sit in a circle, at a table, or wherever, and just talk about old times. It can be as recent as this year's Friendsgiving, or two years ago when Johnny tried to ask out Kim and totally failed. As long as it gets you laughing and smiling, it's good.

4. Throw a game night.

With all of your friends in one place, make the decision to have a game night. Whether that means playing Monopoly, Cards Against Humanity, or Mario Kart, it's up to you; just try not to rage quit on each other.

5. Go out on the town!

Lots of cities have great New Year's Eve celebrations -- everyone knows about New York, but places like Boston, Massachusetts have "First Night," which is so fun, and depending on what you choose to do, free!

So now you have five great options for New Year's Eve to kick out 2015 and bring in 2016; what are you going to do?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
