With Spring break quickly approaching, I can’t help but think about where I want to go next year. Definitely somewhere warm, and DEFINITELY somewhere cheap (I’m on a college budget, after all). I did a little research and found a few awesome, relatively cheap places you could go for your next Spring break. Don’t forget your BFF’s, of course.

1. Myrtle Beach

Located in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach has something for everyone. There’s shopping, night life and of course the beautiful beach. They’ve got a wax museum, waterparks and “Broadway at the Beach,” with shopping spots and an aquarium.

2. Puerto Rico

More for the outdoorsy type, Puerto Rico is perfect for hiking through El Yunque (full of beautiful waterfalls), zip lining and kayaking for the whole gang. Don’t forget about mansion tours, the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista (the second oldest cathedral in the americas) and TONS of beautiful beaches.

3. New Orleans

Filled with rich history, explore the French Quarter or walk along Bourbon street where you’ll find great food and even better music. There’s beautiful parks, amusement parks and PLENTY of bars for when you wanna get a little crazy.

4. Dominican Republic

If cave exploring and beautiful beaches are something you’re interested in, you’ll definitely want to take a trip to the Dominican Republic. The all-inclusive resorts are the perfect thing for college students, and the beach access is nothing to complain about.

5. Virginia Beach

A little closer to the East Coast, Virginia Beach has plenty of monuments, amusement parks and beaches to keep you entertained. They also have Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium where you can go zip-lining and visit the wildlife.

Wherever you end up going, as long as you’re with your friends you’ll have a great time. But, the beaches and food might make it even better.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
