Are you short on money this Christmas? Need a few cheap, yet meaningful gift ideas? Look no further...

1. A home-made treat

You can never go wrong with food. Look up a simple fudge, cookie, etc. recipe and make it with love, for everyone to enjoy.

2. Open when letters

These are an inexpensive, yet very meaningful gift to give. Simply write different circumstances on envelopes, and a unique letter inside each one. For example: Open when...you need to know how much I love you, you're feeling sad, etc.

3. Pop-up card

If money is really tight, and you need to opt for a card, make sure you do it right. Put extra effort into decorating it and writing a message. One example of a creative card is a diy pop-up card.

4. A book you think they'd enjoy, with your own notes written in the margins

I don't know if there is any gift more intimate than this one. You are offering something that truly touched your heart and soul, giving them a piece of you.

5. Adventure coupons

You've heard of chore coupons. But these are much more meaningful. Give them coupons to spend time with you, and make real memories together.
