It's no secret that life can be a rollercoaster, and the highs and lows can get the best of you. When you feel low, you feel like life has given you the worst black eye, and when you feel at your highest point you feel like you've just learned how to fly. Yes, I know that Life isn't a real person, but at times it feels like it. But just remember a few verses when Life has you on her rollercoaster.

1. Isaiah 58:11

"... And the Lord shall guide thee continuously, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fall not."

Know that the Lord has a plan for you, and will guide you to where you need to be. At times it may not feel like it's where you should be, but more than likely it's where you need to be. Everything has a reason.

2. Joshua 1:9

"... Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

In the face of adversity, it's important to stay strong- sometimes not only for yourself but also for others. It's easy to feel weak and give up when life is an uphill battle, but don't forget that you were made to be strong and will become stronger.

3. James 4:10

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

Remembering to stay grounded on the things that you have and appreciate the blessings you have, will allow more to continue your way.

4. Job 5:9

"He preforms wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted"

Without having to go in depth, all that you need to do is to believe. Believe that miracles will happen and pray that they will be done.

5. Micah 5:5

"He will be our peace."

Place your fears in the Lord and they will diminish, and will make you more wise.

Just remember these 5 verses and keep going. Life can be a rollercoaster but don't let her dominate you.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
