We all forget. We all forget that the Creator of all things loves us. He made the mountains, the stars, the galaxies, and He loves us! So while you are sitting and thinking about how that is even possible, let me share the facts with you. It is all written in His word. There are so many verses in the Bible that tell us of God's love, so these are only a few. I challenge you to keep reading scripture to find all the other truths He tells us. But for now, here's a reminder of His love for you.
1. "But God shows his love for us in that while we are still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8
Even though we sin and fall short every single day, we are still loved. No matter how bad you think your sin is God can wipe it clean. Jesus died for us so that we can live for Him.
2. "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." -Lamentations 3:22-23
Through our unfaithfulness to Him, God's love for us still remains. It will never cease. God is willing to begin anew every day to those who repent of their sins and turn to Him.
3. "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." -Galatians 2:20
The fact that Jesus bore every believer's sins shows that his death was a personal expression of his love for people as individuals. Jesus knows you as an individual. How cool is that?
4. "In all these things we are more then conquerers through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angles nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor power, nor height nor depth, not anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:37-39
God's love is powerful. And it's directed toward you. You are so, so loved!
5. "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ." -Ephesians 2:4-5
Thank you God for loving us!
