Christmas is less than a month away, and it's my absolute favorite time of year! So, here's a list of 5 things that I love most about the Christmas season!

1. Hallmark Christmas movies

Okay, Hallmark Christmas movie marathons are literally the best. I don't care who you are. They're so good.

2. Evergreen scented candles

I love when my mom and dad set out these candles for Christmas because as soon as I smell it it's like all my Christmas memories come back and it immediately gets me in the spirit! It's also mine and my dad's favorite scent.

3. Putting up the Christmas tree

Setting up the tree and putting the ornaments up while also baking Christmas cookies at the same time with Christmas music playing in the background is probably my most favorite about Christmas with my family.

4. The advent wreath and candles at church

Lighting the Advent candles every week before Christmas is always a beautiful little ceremony, and I have good memories with it from when I was younger because it always made me feel like Christmas was so close; it's like a countdown.

5. Presents on Christmas Day

We all can admit this is one of our favorite parts of Christmas, getting presents. I'm so lucky that I still get Christmas morning like I did when I was a kid even though I'm 19 years old.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
