Few things in life are more disrespectful than dunking on someone. It's equivalent to getting pantsed at school. In that same vein, there are fewer things more exciting in life than watching somebody get dunked on. (Tip: Next time somebody gets dunked on, watch the bench reaction. Chances are, they're going wild.) Here are my five favorite posters.
5. Larry Nance Jr. on Brook Lopez
The #5 spot on my list is generally pretty fluid. Many different players have graced this spot. Right now, Larry Nance Jr. sits at the five spot for doing this:
Nasty. Most of the time, when somebody gets dunked on, it's because they slid into help defense too late(A theme that we'll revisit later in the article). In this case, the help defender, Brook Lopez (#11 in white) was in excellent position. Nance crossed over, took one look at him and decided to go over him.
4. Scottie Pippen on Patrick Ewing
Not only did Pippen finish over Ewing in the open court, but he threw him down after the dunk and stood over him. No wonder Ewing wanted to fight after the play. This has to be one of the most disrespectful things that one human has ever done to another human.3. DeAndre Jordan on Brandon Knight
WARNING: You're about to witness something graphic.
This is why you make sure to be in proper position to help! Brandon Knight (#7 in blue) slides over too late, which means that he ends up having to protect the rim against DeAndre Jordan. Knight is 6'3". Jordan is 6'11". Knight never stood a chance (bit of unintentional comedy here — the ball bounces off of Knight's head at the end of the play, adding to the disrespectful nature of an already disrespectful play).
2. LeBron James on Jason Terry
This was never fair. Jason Terry is a known trash talker who has history with LeBron. Jason Terry is six inches shorter than LeBron. Bonus points to Bron for standing over Terry after dunking on him. Unfortunately, LeBron received a technical foul for "taunting," which is nonsense. If you do this to someone, you deserve ten seconds to celebrate however you want.
1. Vince Carter on Frederic Weis
This dunk is known in France as le dunk de la mort, which means "the dunk of death." Nothing else needs to be said.
