It is no surprise that we all want to look our best. Well, I am here to give you my top 5 beauty tips and tricks that I know are extremely effective...Tenzin Tsephel approved!

1. Lotion as a shaving cream alternative

Before I head out for a fun day or night with my friends, I always shave my legs with body lotion. I do this because I have realized my legs become MORE smoother AND shinier when I shave with body lotion instead of a regular shaving cream. I am not positive if other people do this as well (never Googled it), BUT I would not be surprised if this is a common beauty practice. When you do this, you don't even have to be in the shower. You can just shave your legs with the body lotion wherever you are. Heck, you could even do it on the road if you're on a road trip with friends. Say Hello to shinier and sexier legs!

2. Petroleum jelly and perfume

Want your perfume scent to last longer? If you answered "no," what kind of monster are you? If you answered "yes," I've got just your answer: petroleum jelly. Yes, you heard it. Before spritzing on your expensive perfume on your arms, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on the skin first. By doing so helps the scent of the perfume last much longer. This secret gets better. You must spray the perfume directly onto your warm spots (neck, inside the wrists, behind the ears); don't forget to apply the Vaseline first! By spraying perfume on your warm spots, the scent will become stronger because of the reaction with your body heat. Boom. *mic drop*

3. Tissue paper as an oil-blotting sheet alternative

Personally, I suffer from an oily T-Zone. The T-Zone is the area on your face involving the forehead and the nose bridge (makes a letter "T" shape). How did I get an oily T-Zone? Well, I'm human so there. A solution to this problem is tissue paper. If I don't have an oil-blotting sheet near me (since I run out of them frequently), I always use tissue paper as an alternative. You just grab the tissue and then dab it lightly on the oily/shiny areas on your face. You don't want to harshly rub the tissue on your face, obviously because that would ruin your make-up. But just do it carefully and boom! Your face will look matte.

4. Static guard on your hair brush

If you are anything like me you MUST suffer from frizzy hair during the summer. A beauty trick I've recently learned is to spray static guard onto your hairbrush. After doing that, simply start brushing your hair with that brush and the static guard should help ease down the frizz or at least bring it to a minimum. As you can tell, static guard can sure do wonders! Pass along this secret to your friends.

5. Dry brushing

"What the h*ll is that?" You may be wondering. Dry brushing is a technique where you basically grab your hair brush and well, you brush your whole body. Yes, it sounds weird but let me give you the reason why you should try this out. By dry brushing, you are shedding away dead skin cells which would help promote new cell renewal. It is also a unique way of exfoliating your skin because it increases circulation, leaving you with a somewhat improved appearance.

What are you waiting for? Get up and try these beauty tips and tricks!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
