To kick off 2018, I'm taking myself shopping to stock up on some of my favorite beauty products from the past year. By no means am I any kind of expert, but I like to think that I can pull off a good look every now and then! I like to focus on my skin care rather than a full face of make-up throughout the week, and I have to do a lot to keep my curly hair healthy. Here are my recommendations to take with you into this new year!
1. Mario Badescu Facial Sprays.
Both of these sprays have SAVED my skin! I use the cucumber spray as a cleanser of sorts, spraying it on morning and night after my facial wash. I use the rose water spray as a makeup setting spray and it works wonders! I've found that it works even better than my elf setting spray.
2. Witch Hazel.
This is a natural topical astringent that is used to treat skin irritations and blemishes. If I notice a breakout, I immediately put some witch hazel directly on top of the pimple and within 24 hours it is dried up! It is my go-to for any redness, irritation, or breakouts.
3. Nexxus Promend Leave-In Crème.
This cream works wonders! I have naturally curly hair that is super coarse, dry, and prone to split ends, so I normally need a trim every six to eight weeks. I started using this crème after every shower and my hair was still healthy after six months! It adds moisture while also keeping my split ends under control.
4. L'Oreal Telescopic mascara.
This is a drugstore mascara and is only $7 at Target. Before discovering this mascara (thanks to my little sister) I was loyal to Benefit's Roller Lash mascara. What I love most about this particular mascara is the brush! It is very long and curved so that it covers your whole lash line in one swoop. Definitely worth a try if you like thinner brushes!
5. Beauty Blender.
This one is obvious and is not new, BUT this is a must-have! I have tried so many different sponges and brushes in attempt to find something new, but I always come back to my beauty blender. Even if you have a foundation brush that you love, I would recommend using a Beauty Blender afterwards to smooth everything out for a really perfect finish!
