Summer is finally here and the perfect time to discover new music. If you are a band lover like me then this is a list for you and most likely, you will fall in love with these bands.

1. Nothing But Thieves

This five-piece alternative rock band from Essex, England is guaranteed to give you eargasm after eargasm when you are listening to their debut, self-titled album. The band has been compared to Foals, The Neighbourhood, and Civil Twilight. Their sound is hard alternative, mixed with melodic and dark-like elements, but this band is far from depressing.

Highlight tracks: "Excuse Me", "Trip Switch", "Itch" and "Graveyard Whistling".

2. Kaleo

Blues-rock mixed with today’s alternative never sounded so good. You can thank Kaleo for that. The Icelandic band is a breath of fresh air and their debut album, A/B, needs to be part of your must hear albums of the summer. Their music has been featured in many shows such as Suits and even in the season 4 trailer of Orange is the New Black. Their song “No Good” was also featured on the HBO series Vinyl. Their album A/B will be released June 10.

Highlight tracks: "No Good", "Way Down We Go", "All The Pretty Girls" and "I Can’t Go On Without You".

3. Moose Blood

For all you fans of the Pop Punk music scene, Moose Blood will definitely be one of your new favorite bands. They are British Emo band that has been recognized on Billboard’s New Music Friday with their song “Honey”. These guys will be heading out on tour starting in July. Their album Blush will be released on August 5th, 2016, which you can also Pre-Order now on iTunes and MerchNow.

Highlight Tracks: "Honey", "Knuckles", "Gum" and "Swim Down".

4. The Hunna

This up and coming four-piece indie band is perfect for anyone who likes British indie bands. According to their biography on Billboard, they teamed up with producer Tim Larcombe, who also worked with Lana Del Rey and Hasley. Their songs are catchy and similar to the band Coasts, who they actually toured with before. We’re definitely keeping our ears open for this band.

Highlight Tracks: "We Could Be", "Bonfire", "You & Me" and "Still Got Blood".

5. The Strokes

Yes, that’s right! Although they’ve been around for awhile, they are releasing new music. On June 3, 2015, The Strokes released their first EP since 2013, entitled Future Present Past. The New York based band is coming back into the music scene with new and old fans. They are definitely band you want to listen to starting with their early work leading up to the new EP.

Highlight Tracks: "Reptilia", "Last Nite", "Drag Queen" and "All The Time".

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
