When it comes to beauty care, sometimes the best products are the simple homemade products and cheap products you can pick up at any drugstore. For those who'd rather not pay an absurd amount for their beauty products, try these simple, inexpensive options.
1. Scalp Scrub
This awesome scalp detox is so simple to make, and although it sounds really messy, it's not. The mixture is simply baking soda, olive oil, and cinnamon. You massage the mixture into your scalp, let it set for 15 minutes, then rinse and shampoo as usual. The purpose is to remove dead skin cells and leave your hair shiny and clean.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
Apple cider vinegar is a multipurpose product. My favorite way to use apple cider vinegar is for a hair rinse. Mix 3-4 inches of the apple cider vinegar with about a cup of water. After shampooing and conditioning your hair, pour the rinse over your hair and let it set for a couple minutes. Rinse it out with cool water, and you're done! The apple cider vinegar kills bacteria on your scalp and leaves your hair so clean and smooth.
3. Sugar Scrub
Sugar scrubs are awesome natural exfoliators, and you can make them as simple or luxurious as you wish. A basic sugar scrub is composed of a 2:1 ratio of sugar and olive oil or coconut oil. You can experiment by mixing in essential oils such as lavender as well.
4. A+D Ointment
A+D ointment is a miracle. Yes, it's an ointment, but it also works great as a moisturizer and color corrector. You can buy A+D at any drugstore, and it's cheap. Apply the A+D to rough spots on your skin, dark undereye circles, skin discolorations, etc. It's awesome, and you can see results over night.
5. Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is a known remedy for stretch marks. Use cocoa butter on your neck and cheeks to tighten the skin and leave it glowing. A good nightly skin routine is to wash your face with an astringent and then apply cocoa butter.
