There are so many free apps out there, and us college students should be taking advantage of them. Here's several that you can get on your iPhone that are either free or really cheap, that you all should be taking full advantage of:

1. Pocket Points

Pocket Points is a free app that gives students rewards and discounts for not using their phone during their classes! All you have to do is download the app, sign up, and lock your phone while you have the app open and you will automatically be earning points. Points get you discounts and sometimes even free rewards for food and more!

2. Tapingo

Are you ever sitting in class thinking about how hungry you are, but you can't get food between classes because you don't have enough time? Tapingo is a free app that is fantastic, as long as your school also uses it. If your school uses the app, you can use it around campus and simply place an order while walking to class and pick it up on the way. It even connects to your meal plan if you have one, and it definitely works with you credit card!

3. Poshmark

Are you constantly looking for cute clothes that don't break the budget? Poshmark is a free resale app where you can buy and sell clothes. The clothes that you buy are usually much cheaper than retail. They always have cute clothes and endless possibilities of finding what you're looking for.

4. Lyft

At some point or another we all need a lift. Lyft is an app with the same concept of Uber. It allows you to tip your driver and receive discounts about once a month. Talking to my drivers, they usually work for Lyft and Uber, but prefer to drive for Lyft because of the amazing benefits.

5. Venmo

Venmo is a free app that is used to transfer money. You can transfer money to someone you owe or you can request it from them if they owe you. It's super easy, and all you do is connect it to your bank account and find your friends on it. Highly recommend this app due to how handy and useful it is!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
