The holidays is the time we look forward to coming home and spending time with our families. It also gives us the chance to distress ourselves from thinking about writing papers or studying for a test. If you like to watch anime during the holidays, because I sure do, then I have created a list of some the anime that you should watch during your break.

1. "NANA"

If you dig: romance, friendship and music.

Two young women with the same name are brought together. Creating new events and sharing an apartment together. Their friendship deepens, and both of them try their best to be supportive of each other in their lives filled with romance, music, and heartbreaks.

2. "Claymore"

If you dig: adventure, fantasy and supernatural.

This story follows Clare and a young boy named Raki who lost his family in a horrible attack. Both characters share deeper qualities and Clare’s mission is to fulfill a promise she made to the person she admired.

3. "Say I love You"

If you dig: romance, be sure to have tissues by your side.

This show follows Mei a girl who is anti-social and doesn’t believe in friendship, but Yamato, a very popular boy in high school, is out to prove her wrong, and both of their lives will be changed forever.

4. "Monster"

If you dig: horror, psychological; oh and be ready to be mind blown with this anime.

This show follows a famous doctor who is determined to discover the murderer who has been terrorizing his country. This psychological anime will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, making you crave the next episode.

5. Mirai Nikki

If you dig: action, psychological and thriller.

This story follows Yukiteru and his ability to predict his future with his future diary. He must find and kill the other 11 holders of similarly future diaries and survive.
