2016 has been a great year for Anime! With brilliant anime such as Naruto coming to a close, many anime fans are now at a loss for what to watch next. Fortunately, 2016 hasn't just been a good year for long running anime. The year has also brought with it plenty of new anime for fans to obsess over. Here are 5 must watch anime from 2016

1. Haven't You Heard I'm Sakamoto?


Haven't You Heard I'm Sakamoto follows the life of Sakamoto, a seemingly perfect guy who everyone either loves or if they don't love him they just don't know him yet. It doesn't take itself too seriously and makes light of many anime tropes. Sakamoto is perfect if you're looking for some light-hearted comedy in your anime library.

2. Re:Zero


Re:Zero is the perfect anime for anyone who's into fantasy. It's a breathe of fresh air for the genre and it manages to mix a thriller feeling into it as well.

3.Yuri On Ice!


If you're a fan of sports anime or even if you've never watched one before, Yuri On Ice is the perfect place to start. It follows the young figure skater Yuri and his coach Victor as they build their relationship through training and eating pork cutlet bowls.

4. Izetta: The Last Witch


Ever wondered what World War II would have been like if there were witches who could ride rifles like brooms and pick up tanks with ease? Well Izetta: The Last Witch is the perfect anime for you. It provides a unique perspective on World War II, giving it a little twist to make it translate more easily to an Anime.

Kiss Him, Not Me is a reverse harem anime that makes light of the "fujoshi" anime fan. It follows the main character Kae-chan who is a fujoshi thrown into a world of popularity. The anime follows her life as she struggles with constant advances while attempting to disguise her identity as a fujoshi.
