5 Amazing TV Christmas Movies You Should Check Out

With Thanksgiving approaching us faster than ever, and radio stations getting in gear for non-stop Christmas music, I can't help but get excited for the upcoming holiday season a.k.a. my favorite time of year. Like many, ABC Family/Freeform's "25 Days of Christmas" marathon is always something I look forward to each and every year. For those of you crazy people who don't know what that is, the "25 Days of Christmas" marathon comprises of non-stop Christmas-related tv shows and movies leading up to the actual day of Christmas (accompanied in the mix are the Harry Potter movies...which is still something that perplexes me each and every year).

During the month of December, after "successfully" accomplishing each daunting day of school, I usually reward myself by sitting down and watching some Christmas-related movie whether it's on TV or on demand right before I go to sleep. Whether it's the classic clay animation movies like "A Year Without a Santa Claus" or more modern, cheesier ABC Family generated movies like "Christmas Cupid," I look forward to watching Christmas inspired movies each and every day.

I remember watching this movie back in 2007 when it first aired. Even though the plot is a tad cheesy and somewhat unrealistic, it is undeniably one of my favorite holiday movies to watch every year.

2. The Polar Express

This is probably a fan favorite for many people. There's something so cute and mysterious about this movie that really draws me to it. I love the whole concept to it and I think it's without a doubt a holiday staple from the past decade.

3. Santa Baby

This is another ABC Family original movie, however, unlike many other original movies, this one got a sequel which is equally as entertaining. I think the concept of Santa having a daughter is something that you don't really find in many holiday movies. This one is wittingly clever and hands down one of my favorites.

4. Elf

Definitely one of the more overrated Christmas movies, but I can't help loving it. Although, through the years, the movie has somewhat lost it's charm, it's still one that I must watch every year or the holiday season will be incomplete.

5. Snowglobe

This is another ABC Family original movie and the concept is very imaginative. It focuses on a girl who receives a magical snow globe in the mail and each night she wakes up inside the snow globe in a town that is fixated on celebrating Christmas every single day. It's definitely one of my favorite Christmas movies out there.

Honorable mentions: Christmas With The Kranks and The Santa Clause movies.

So, if you're like me, and you find pure joy out of watching different Christmas movies every day leading up to the holiday, then hopefully you'll check out the 5 movies I've featured above. You will not regret watching any single one of them!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
