Yes, ok, Fourth of July might be a while away but it’s never too early to plan how you’re going to celebrate! As long as you have an American flag bandana and a Bud Light in hand, you’re halfway there. Now all you need is a place to yell “’MERICA” and lucky for you, I’ve listed 5 activities in New York City that are worth checking out this Fourth of July.
- Nathan’s Famous Fourth Of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest (held at Coney Island every year since1916)
- Official July 4th Red, White, And Brew Pub Crawl (registration at Bar None in the East Village for only $5.50!)
- Macy’s Fourth Of July Fireworks (being set off over the East River, the fireworks show can be seen from Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan and it’s totally free of charge)
- Festival of Independence (taking place at the South Street Seaport, this festival includes music, art, and food)
- Fourth Of July Cruise (There are several options for this one, depending on which line you book through, but a cruise around Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty is a great way to flaunt your patriotism)
