Thinking about resolutions I want to make going into 2017, I found myself having a hard time remembering any resolutions I had set for myself in the past. Why? Because I had set goals for myself that I wasn't committed enough to keep up with or that were realistic for me. This is a common problem, it happens to the best of us. Nobody intends on abandoning their resolutions, especially since they are made specifically so that we can better ourselves. Here are five new year's resolutions you can actually stick to this new year. Go into 2017 with goals that are realistic and easy to keep up with. Go into 2017 with goals you are excited to pursue and work towards. Make this the year of you! We all know we make goals for the new year and never keep up with them, so this year, set goals for yourself that you know you will actually work towards achieving!

1. Get Organized

More often than not, when we're in a hurry, we tend to leave a mess. Ultimately, messes end up stressing us out more in the long run. I know when I'm in a rush and can't find things, a messy environment makes being in a rush more hectic. In the new year, make it a priority to keep yourself organized. It will help you in the long run.

2. Stop Procrastinating

I know, I wanna watch Netflix too instead of studying for that exam next week. I'd like to go hang out with my friends instead of writing that 10 page paper. Stop. Don't. Try to stop procrastinating so much in 2017. The earlier you get your work done, the more time you'll have to do the things you actually want to do. Although it's not very fun, it leaves you feeling a lot less stressed at the end of the day.

3. Put Yourself First- Always.

Stop letting people walk all over you. Stop letting people tell you what to do. In 2017, make yourself a priority. If someone is continually screwing you over, cut them off. It's almost 2017, now is not the time for you to have people in your life who don't value you.

4. Work On Yourself

Same as all of the things I said above, work on yourself. Work on your self esteem. Work on anything you're unhappy with. If you want to lose weight, lose weight. If you don't like the grades you get, find out how you can study harder. If you don't like how you can snap off easily, work on managing your anger. Make 2017 the year to work on and betetr yourself.

5. Stop Stressing So Much

All in all, make 2017 the year you don't stress things so much. Go with the flow. Accept the things you can't change. Take it all in. It's gonna be a great year.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
