Four Solutions To Celebrate The Fourth

In This Article:

As the unofficial peak of summer, the Fourth of July brings us endless options to celebrate our nation's independence. If you're indecisive like myself and my friends, keep reading for solutions to spice up your holiday!

1. BBQ with friends and family at home.

If you're not one for crowds, this is the perfect Fourth of July plan for you. Spark up your grill, throw on some hot dogs, and enjoy wholesome fun with your loved ones at home. Celebrating from the comfort of your backyard allows you freedom from a strict time schedule and horrendous crowds, while still enjoying the company of your friends and family on this holiday. What's better than cornhole, hot dogs, and drinks with friends?

2. DIY themed cooking/drinking.

Let your creativity off the leash and create themed cakes, drinks, and snacks. With the internet at our fingertips, there are endless options of step-by-step recipes that will amaze your friends. Allrecipes has an entire page dedicated to yummy recipes for your independence day celebrations. As far as drinks are concerned, @tipsybartender on Instagram has you covered with unique and colorful holiday beverages!

3. Go to a local parade.

Parades, a classic independence day activity. There's nothing quite like enjoying a parade in your hometown with a celebration of fireworks and decorative floats. I recommend looking into the events your local park or city has organized for the Fourth. This holiday plan allows you to sit back and enjoy the day, without having to organize much.

4. Make a wise investment- slip 'n slides.

Regardless of your age, slip 'n slides can be a great deal of fun with friends. There's not much more needed than a slip 'n slide and some water to enjoy this activity. This can also be a great idea paired with a backyard barbeque or a pool day. Slip 'n slides are a classic solution to a laid-back fourth of July.

The Fourth of July is here again, and there are endless options for activities to enjoy with friends and family. Whether you're opting for a classic barbeque/slip 'n slide situation or a more complex spread of themed drinks and snacks, your independence day will surely be a success. Don't forget to be thankful for our nation's independence and for a much needed day off of work.
