49 Thoughts You Have In A Boring Class

All we want is to get out of here now!

1. Why did I even come to class?

2. Hopefully this week we will get out of class early

3. I could be getting to much done if I wasn't here.

4. I have so much to do

5. Why can't this class be online?

6. Who came up with the idea of three hour classes?

7. I want food

8. I want to go to bed

9. This class will never end

10. There is no point in me being here

11. The ticking of my watch is mocking me

12. Might as well update my planner

13. Might as well do homework

14. I have been sitting here for SO LONG

15. Why did I not get coffee before class?

16. I could stare at a wall for three hours and be more entertained.

17. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, where would I go?

18. If I wanted a three hour study hall, I would have stayed in high school.

19. How can someone possibly talk for three hours straight without taking a breath?

20. How come this teacher cannot ever figure out the technology?

21. Let's see what quizzes Buzzfeed has to offer.

22. Might as well hop on Pinterest to find some fitspiration or a new diet plan that I will never stick to.

23. I wish someone would knock me out.

24. If I walked out right now would the prof care?

25. I should just walk out.

26. I'm going to walk out.

27. I can't walk out.

28. Seriously, whoever invented three hour classes, I hate you.

29. Could I get away with sleeping in class?

30. Seriously, could time go any slower?

31. I do not care about anything you are saying.

32. If my computer dies on me, I am going to cry.

33. I am going to cry if I have to be in here any longer.

34. At least I can get some stuff done that I have been putting off.

35. Man, I wish I could watch Netflix right now.

36. What should I wear tomorrow?

37. Should I actually try to look good tomorrow?

38. Ha, no.

39. I am losing my mind!

40. I wonder how many steps I have gotten today.

41. Not enough is the answer.

42. Please, I am begging, shut up and let me go home

43. I really just want to take my makeup off.

44. Why did I think it was a good idea to take this class?

45. I have never seen someone go so slowly through a powerpoint.

46. I feel like the students in Ferris Bueller's Day Off

47. If I survive this, it will be a miracle

48. I would sell my soul for a tortilla chip right now if it meant that I could get out of here.

49. Oh look at those people in the hallway. I wonder what it must feel like to walk free.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
