In college I think hardest part is having all of your biggest exams in one week. With most of having exams this week or next week here are a few thoughts most of us are thinking during this incredibly stressful time. So grab your caffeine and your snacks, take a break from studying and relate to these thoughts that we all have.

1. Why are my notes so crappy?
2. Go ahead and mentally prepare yourself for an excessive amount of zits, tears and coffee.
3. I hate this.
4. Did we even learn this?
5. I don't understand, well, I never actually understood anything so I guess this is normal.
6. After this week Im going to sleep for 3 days straight.
7. Don't even look at your phone because you know you will get distracted
8. Why am I like this?
9. I wonder what my parents would think if I dropped out.
10. How do people do this?
11. Why do my professors hate me?
12. This better be worth it when I start my career.
13. DON'T STOP BELIEVING
14. What the lowest grade I can get on this exam?
15. Why are there so many questions on this exam?
16. I wonder how much of this highlighter I've used?
17. Yep, I'm a failure.
18. Why do I do this to myself?
20. Does everyone feel the same way I do?
21. Why are my friends trying to make this a competition?
22. Remember to breath. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.
23. At least Jesus gives you an A.
24. Why didn't I do that extra credit assignment OR I'm so glad I did the extra credit.
25. Don't let them see you cry
26. You're better than this.
27. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming.
28. I don't even know where to start.
29. I left a lot blank on this exam, go back and fill them in with random things so the professor doesn't look at you weird when you turn it in.
30 I bet genius over there is flying through these questions. I'm so jealous.
31. Such a waste of flash cards.
32. I wish I was a cat all they do is play and then sleep.
33. Sleep sounds so nice right now.
34. Everyone looks like a bunch of zombies.
35. After this you can fully celebrate Christmas and sleep in.
36. Ugh, I think I'm having a slow and painful death.
37. Why am I doing this again?
38. Just five short days.
39. Wait, what day is it? What time is my exam?
40. You need to pray.
41. I could go for a large pizza right now. No! You don't have time to eat!
42. My hand hurts.
43. I wonder if my professors enjoy making me cry?
44. I should have started studying months ago.
45. GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER!
46. You need to never stop praying.
47. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Stay strong my friends and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
