  1. College is a place where no one really cares what you were in high school.
  2. College is wishing you were better prepared for it in high school.
  3. College is waiting 18 years to become a grown child.
  4. College is making dozens of friends who are genuine.
  5. College is worrying about where you’ll end up in life.
  6. College is telling you parents that classes are going fine when you’re barely scraping a C.
  7. College is reevaluating your future every week.
  8. College is skipping one class to catch up in another.
  9. College is procrastinating one thing to do another.
  10. College is setting four alarms in the morning just to make sure you make it to class.
  11. College is having nothing going on in the whole month of March but then drowning in five tests, four group projects, hundreds of homework assignments and jury duty in the month of April.
  12. College is being around couples that are talking about the future and you can’t even get your socks to match.
  13. College is being around people who all act like they know what their future is, but are just as clueless as you.
  14. College is doing everything you can to not buy the textbook for class, even selling your soul.

  25. College is setting an alarm for 11:58 p.m. to turn in your paper before midnight.
  26. College is having class during a blizzard, a hurricane, a solar flare, an alien invasion, and Columbus Day.
  27. College is needing more than one reason to go to campus that day, otherwise it’s totally not worth it.
  28. College is when you pay an arm and a leg to get a job that will only pay you an arm.
  29. College is learning more than one way to make ramen so you don’t get sick of it.
  30. College is wondering if there should really be tests during dead week.
  31. College is joining every club you can think of, but only having time for one or two.
  32. College is never wanting to graduate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating.
