Whether you've been gone only for the weekend or the whole summer, we all share a strange sense of homesickness to favorite place on the planet. Bobcats have a strong attachment to our city and here a few reasons why:

  1. Goodfella’s fluffy crust
  2. Athens beautiful red bricks
  3. Brick Break. Doesn’t getting better than those mega mugs
  4. Impulsive hikes at the always gorgeous Hocking Hills
  5. Those addicting blue drinks with a cherry on top from Pawpurrs
  6. Cheesy goodness at Courtside
  7. Groundhogs!!!
  8. College Green’s peaceful vibes
  9. How easy is it to avoid a hill aka Baker Center
  10. The townies. Let’s be honest, they’re pretty entertaining.
  11. The view from the bike path
  12. Or an even better view from Bong Hill
  13. Crystal’s tunes and popcorn
  14. Learning new things
  15. Closing the bars
  16. Not having to spend so much on gas
  17. Front Room’s drinks of the month
  18. Friends being twenty steps away
  19. Squirrels... they're so much more cute in Athens
  20. Getting a work out in when you aren’t even trying, thanks to those hills
  21. Seeing a familiar face everywhere you go
  22. Boyd’s stuffed pitas
  23. Mike’s Dogshack at your fingertips
  24. Shively pizza & fries
  25. Emeriti Park
  26. Not being judged for wearing OU gear every day
  27. Nelson’s 24/7 breakfast, because who doesn’t love breakfast?
  28. Random campus events with free things
  29. Posting up in the corner of C.I., pretending like you’ve got some idea of what’s going on in that game of pool
  30. Ping. But not when it was 400 degrees
  31. Grab ‘N Go subs
  32. That feeling when you finish the last class of the week
  33. Chicken and waffle, complete with the white and green checkered wrapper… 'nuff said.
  34. Cops on horses, but mostly just the horses
  35. That manager at Boyd who’s always super extremely friendly for no reason
  36. Having something to do every single night of the week
  37. Having Wi-Fi everywhere you go
  38. Wendy’s 4 for 4…it tastes better at 2 A.M.
  39. Scoping out the crowd from upstairs in JBar
  40. The oddly comfortable sphereical chairs in Alden
  41. Seeing all the cute new little bobkittens on tours
  42. Taking a free shuttle just because you can
  43. (former) President McDavis
  44. Boyd smoothie combos on the go
  45. But, most importantly, all of your fellow bobcats
