Did you know, it only takes 21 days to form a habit? 21 days of saying something, hearing something, or seeing something will make its way into your mindset. All those years of seeing unrealistic beauty standards has altered our mindsets on ourselves, and the world around us, and how we perceive beauty. It has changed the way many millennials perceive themselves, and contributed to the increase in self esteem and body image issues in the USA. I'd like to help break down these existing mindsets by providing a list of affirmations to say. Remember, if it takes 21 days to form a toxic mindset--it only takes 21 days to fix it too.
Even though many don't admit it, we all experience a wide range of emotions due to certain situations we find ourselves in. Whether it be sadness, paranoia, anxiety, or just discontent, we all experience our own version of these emotions. "But isn't it weird to talk to yourself?" No! No it is not. My dad once told me, the best conversations you ever have are with yourself. Don't be afraid to get into your own head, the only person in the world who's love you can control is the love you have for yourself. Don't be afraid to silence those negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones. The time has come to start taking care of yourself. The time is now. Namaste.
