For the good of you and others.

41 Things We Should Do More Often
Shelby Edwards

Throughout the last few months, I've been writing down little snippets of things that I noticed we don't do often enough, but we should, because they're good for the soul. Disclaimer: Some of these things may not match your personality type, but, hey, some of them do. Just changing little things throughout your day could make for something great.

1. Go to a coffee shop. Alone. There's nothing more peaceful that that.

2. Get up and watch the sunrise.

3. Sing on the top of your lungs, loud and proud.

4. Pray for others. Pray over others.

5. Ask a random person to lunch. You never know what opportunities that conversation can bring.

6. Laugh.

7. Put the phone down. I'm serious.

8. Try a new restaurant that you totally wouldn't usually go to.

9. Say yes. Go. Stop worrying about everything else before life passes you by before you can even live it fully.

10. Read a book.

11. Stop living in fear of what others are going to think.

12. Write someone an encouraging note.

13. Ask for help. Stop being so stubborn and independent.

14. Call your parents just to talk. It will make their hearts soar.

15. Buy flowers.

16. Speak highly of others and avoid gossip.

17. Challenge ourselves. It doesn't always have to be easy.

18. Go to church.

19. Take pictures. They are worth a thousand words.

20. Send snail mail.

21. Go on dates. Actually calling them a date, not just "hanging out".

22. Talk to a stranger sitting by themselves.

23. Eat dessert. "Well, if you insist..."

24. Tell someone the Gospel.

25. Relax, taking a step back and just resting.

26. Tell someone they look pretty/handsome today.

27. Go on adventures. Hop in the car and just GO. Be spontaneous!

28. Be optimistic about things and stop complaining so much.

29. Be like a child. Do something silly!

30. Love yourself for who God made you to be instead of constantly comparing yourself to others.

31. Stop settling for any less than you deserve.

32. Do things that make you happy.

33. Initiate group hangouts and stop waiting for someone else to do it.

34. Use social media for something good.

35. Be eager for the day when you wake up in the morning.

36. Confront conflict instead of ignoring the problem. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

37. Make someone laugh.

38. Remember the Gospel and the love the Lord has for you, His child.

39. Listen intently.

40. Worship the Lord, our God. Laying your struggles at His feet.

41. Live life to the fullest and don't take a single moment for granted.

My prayer for the person reading this is that you do a few of these in some sort or fashion. In a way that works in your life. I pray that God is able to work through you in some way to build community with others and for your personal growth. I pray you thank God for His blessings and appreciate them more. These are just a few small things that could make a big difference in your life. Take a chance and do it!

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
