With everything that's going on in the world it's easy to fall into a slump. Here is a list of 40 things you can do to distract yourself from the harsh reality that is humanity!

1. Listen to every song with the word happy in the title.

And, yes, that includes "Happy Birthday!"

2.Change your hair.

New hair who dis?

3.Take a nap.

You deserve all the naps.

4.Take selfies.

Just do it, you know you want to.

5.Take a bath.

Pick up a bubble bar or bath bomb to make bath time even better!

6.Play Pokemon GO.

Gotta catch 'em all!

7.Read a book you've never heard of.

Smiling at the book the entire time is not required, but definitely encouraged.

8. Read your favorite book from childhood.

Yay for nostalgia!

9. Do something you've never done but always wanted to do.

This can be as simple as whitening your teeth with a banana peel and as extreme as skydiving into a volcano!

10. Make a furniture fort.

And then maybe take a nap in it!

11. Watch Bob Ross.

12. Paint your nails.

Get fancy with a design or just apply a fresh coat of polish.

13. Try to make a Pinterest craft.

Whether you fail miserably or make the best mason jar bird house the world has ever seen, Pinterest DIYs will definitely occupy your mind.

14. Read Matt Bellassai's tweets.

Maybe drink some wine while you do so.

15. Make a Tastemade recipe.

You'll either feel like a professional chef or it will end terribly, only one way to find out.

16. Make up your own recipe.

17. Come up with a plan to rid the world of mosquitos.

Whether it's a short story or a novel, just start writing.

28. Draw yourself from memory.

It'll probably go very well.

29. Just start walking/driving in any direction.

Go anywhere and everywhere.

30. Go to a yoga class.

Go get spiritual af.

It can be goofy or heartfelt. Pop, punk or poppunk!

32. Try to learn a new instrument.

Your neighbors will love you for this.

All the fun of shopping without spending any money.

37. Have a staring contest with an animal (humans work too.)

Let's be honest, it's more fun to stare at kittens than it is to stare at humans.

38. Watch Disney Channel.

The shows may be new, but it's still Disney Channel!

Record something super cool or talk about anything.

40. Take a Zumba class.
