With the start of lent on Friday, there are a lot of things I am slowly realizing I will never be able to truly give up...

1. Music

I think I would actually die if I wasn't able to listen to music.

2. Driving

Driving is my therapy. Not having my car actually gives me anxiety.

3. Chocolate

I'm gonna have my time of the month sometime during lent, no way I could give up chocolate then!

4. Makeup

I know that God made me naturally beautiful, yeah yeah yeah... but ya girl needs her makeup.

5. TV

TV is just one of those things you need to decompress... there is no way I could give that up.

6. Social Media

Social media is my life.. and lent is not about giving up your life.

7. Texting

Texting=all my communication ever.

8. Meat

The thought of not having a cheeseburger for over a month makes me too sad.

9. Sarcasm

Sarcasm is all I speak, so do you want me to just not speak for lent or????

10. Sugar

I will actually have a nonsugar crash if I don't have sugar....

11. Cussing

This one is bad... but every once in a while, I really just need to let out some steam with some cuss words.

12. My Phone

My entire life is literally in one box.

13. YouTube

Again, just something that I like to use to help me relax.

14. Pizza

It's just so good...

15. Starbucks

Okay, let's be real... I was named Starbucks queen this year in my sorority, I would NEVER be able to give up Starbucks.

16. Writing

This one is kind of random for most people, but I would die if I was not able to write anymore. On Odyssey, on my personal blog, or in my daily journal. I just love to write and get all of my feelings out.

17. Complaining

This one kind of goes with cussing... it just really releases a lot of built up feelings.

18. Shopping

They call it retail therapy for a reason...

19. Instagram filters.

Ain't nobody got time for a non-aesthetically pleasing Instagram.

20. Takeout

Uber eats anyone? (shout out to Olivia)

21. Naps

Truly the only way I survive day to day.

22. Chick Fil A

Those milkshakes and chicken sandwiches, though.

23. Selfies

It's good to love yourself!

24. Chipotle

Don't even get me started on how I would feel if I had to give up Chipotle...

25. School

I guess this is very popular for this year, but y'all are telling me you just ain't going to school for 40 days?

26. Procrastination

There is no way I would never be able to not procrastinate.

27. Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for more ice cream!!!

28. Staying Up Late

All of my finest work is done between the hours of 12 and 5 AM.

29. The Internet

So how did people actually get information before Google?

30. My Computer

Once again, my whole life is on my computer... I would never be able to give it up.

31. Taking Photos

I just love taking photos of everything.

32. Sorority Apparel

It's over half of my entire wardrobe...

33. Snapchat

Overall, I would never want to give up social media... but I love Snapchat. I could never give it up.

34. Singing

Like music, singing is my therapy. I would never be able to give that up.

35. Laziness

I don't see how people can "give this up" but I know there is no way in hell I would be able to.

36. Bread

Like Oprah, I love bread!!!

37. Religion

This one again might seem weird to some people, but I would truly not be able to give up my religion during lent. Which might seem contradictory to some because lent is all about reconnecting in faith, but some people do try to give up religion.

38. That 70's Show

Forever my favorite binging show. I will never be able to give it up man!

39. People

40 days without people? Um please do not sign me up.

40. Gluten

Let's be real, everything that's good has got gluten in it.

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.
