40 Songs Everyone Should Jam Out To

Life is stressful. Period. So every now and then, no matter what age we are or what abilities we may have, everyone deserves a chance to sing at the top of their lungs and dance like there is no tomorrow. Unfortunately for my friends and random passerbys (if I'm in my car driving), I happen to perform both of these acts on a daily basis. Do I do them well? Absolutely not. But guess what. Life is too short to not go a little crazy every now and then. If you feel the same way, here's what I recommend:

1. "Jonesin' For You" by The Lionfish

Okay, I'm a little biased because these guys are from Fairfield, but you need to trust me when I say you definitely need to take a listen to these guys. You've probably heard them rocking out at The Levee during the school year or at WEHM's Real Band Battle over the summer. They're five Fairfield students and alumni who have a rocking sound and so much talent. You WON'T be disappointed when you hear them, I promise.

2. "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root

What are they even saying? The world may never know.

3. "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen

We will never know how you can miss someone "so bad" before they come into your life, but hey, it's catchy ...

4. "Classic" by MKTO

Such a "CLASSIC" ... sorry that was bad.

5. "All-Star" by Smash Mouth

Ignore the people with their fingers and thumbs in the shape of an L on their foreheads ... you're an ALL-STAR.

6." I'm a Believer" by The Monkees/Smash Mouth

... and a believer too, I guess?

7. "Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows

Turn a little faster and jump a little higher ... you deserve it.

8. "All the Way" by Timeflies

Make sure this song is on your weekend pre-game playlist...trust me.

9. "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield

That awkward moment when you like the girl your best friend is dating ... sorry for your angst, Rick, but you made a pretty good song out of it.

10. "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne

Stacy's Mom was the original MILF.

11. "I'll Be There for You (The Friends Theme)" by The Rembrandts

So, that really relatable TV show's theme song actually lasts more than 20 seconds! And pretty much describes my life on a daily basis!

12. "Run-Around" by Blues Traveler

You'll realize just how cool the harmonica is after you listen to this song.

13. "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison

I actually have blue eyes but it's OK, Van Morrison, I'll still be your girl.

14. "The Anthem" by Good Charlotte

For those days when you wonder why you're even in school still ...

15. "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World

For when you need some reassurance that everything will be alright.

16. "I'd Do Anything" by Simple Plan

I don't know about anything ... maybe SOMEthings, but I'd have to draw the line somewhere.

17. "All the Small Things" by blink 182

You can go back into the cave you came from if you A) don't know this song or B) don't like it.

18. "Better Than Revenge" byTaylor Swift

Why wouldn't I have T-Swift on here?

19. "Hey Ya!" by Outkast

"SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PIK-CHA"

20. "Hanging By A Moment" by Lifehouse

21. "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson

This song came out 11 years ago, and Kelly is still killing it.

22. "Sk8r Boi" by Avril Lavigne

The original "Girl Meets Boy, Boy Meets Girl" story.

23. "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners

Who actually is Eileen? We may never know, but thanks for an awesome song.

24. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something

<3

25. "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins

Easily the greatest dancing song of all time. You'll have a hard time NOT kicking off your Sunday shoes while dancing to this.

26. "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift

Surprise! More T-swift!

27. "Out of the Woods" by Taylor Swift

\

Hey, she's inspirational. I have to strive for success somehow.

28. "Livin on A Prayer" by Bon Jovi

If you haven't belted this out at least ONCE in your life, then you haven't lived.

29. "Mickey" by Toni Basil

"Bring It On," anyone?

30. "Lonely No More" by Rob Thomas

Want motivation for a fresh start? This is the song for you.

31. "I Bet My Life" by Imagine Dragons

32. "Geronimo" by Sheppard

Say "Geronimo" and jump ahead ... don't linger in the past.

33. "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" by Beyonce

What kind of person would I be if I didn't have Beyonce on here?

34. "Love on Top" by Beyonce

35. "American Kids" by Kenny Chesney

Country is cool, okay?

36. "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" by Keith Urban

Yes it is, I swear!

37. "Homegrown" by Zac Brown Band

Just listen to it, please?

38. "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band

Pretty good, right?!

39. "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

Doesn't matter how many times the radio has played it, "Uptown Funk" still "gon' give it to ya."

40. "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon

Title speaks for itself. Dance away.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
