On May 26, I turned 19. It is weird to think that I have only one more year before I am 20. I have done a lot of things – spectacular things – in my life thus far. However, there are a lot of things I still want to do before I turn 20. Here are 20 things on my Bucket List for the next year of my life:

1. See the northern lights

2. Tour a castle in Ireland

3. Take a spectacular picture of a thunderstorm

4. Run a marathon

5. Go on your dream vacation

6. Sing horrible karaoke in front of a crowd

7. Throw a surprise party

8. Publish a book

9. Watch all the Harry Potter Movies in a row

10. Learn a new language

11. See the Grand Ole Opry

12. Ride in a hot air balloon

13. Witness a solar eclipse

14. Walk through the Redwood Forest

15. Go scuba diving

16. Swim under a waterfall

17. Do the Polar Plunge

18. Go Skydiving

19. Go to the top of the Space Needle

20. Give a TEDX talk

Like I said, I have had the opportunity to make some incredible memories. Here are 20 things I have done that I hope everyone has the chance to do by age 20:

1. See a Broadway show

2. Visit Yellowstone National Park

3. Ride in a helicopter

4. Go to Disney World

5. Go on a cruise

6. Swim in the ocean

7. Go camping

8. Donate your hair for cancer

9. Rescue an animal (or two)

10. Pull an all-nighter to see the sunrise

11. Go cliff jumping

12. Climb the Sleeping Bear Dunes

13. See an Olympic event live

14. Go snowboarding

15. Kiss someone at midnight on New Year’s Eve

16. See the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night

17. See your favorite musician in concert

18. Hike the Grand Canyon

19. Attend the Traverse City Cherry Festival

20. Climb a volcano

I have a lot of life left to live, and 365 days until I'm 20. I plan to live each day in pursuit of adventure.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
