Every year, we make the same resolutions, we promise ourselves that we’ll get it right this time. The promises range from dieting and studying to trying a new shampoo. But it’s time to mix it up, and these resolutions won’t be too difficult. If anything, they’ll be super simple and hard to fall back on.

Resolutions don’t necessarily have to fix your life, but they should be some form of an improvement. With new classes, textbooks, and maybe even new material, you are going to need great resolutions. If you’re too busy or lazy to do some deep thinking, just use this list.

1. Diet

The first resolution is a new diet. This doesn’t mean go on a diet, this just means change your current diet. Try to eat less fried foods, hold back on the late-night study snacks, maybe eat something green. In college, it’s so easy to binge on fries and ramen but our bodies deserve better.

Here is a list of healthy, yet simple meals for college students to help you out. And if all else fails, just get lettuce and tomato on your next burger.

2. Exercise

The second resolution is exercise. As a college student, our main priority is hiding how out of shape we are after darting across campus five minutes before our class starts. In order to combat this problem, we must exercise more. It’d probably be best to just go to the gym but that requires physically going to the gym.

So, I am going to suggest taking the stairs more often and skipping the bus when possible. Don’t take the bus if you’re going to only travel a block and don’t take the elevator there are less than four floors. Or better yet, you can check out this article of easy exercises for college students.

3. Study More

The third resolution is to study more. No more cramming for tests and quizzes! Instead, we are going to study at least a week ahead of a test. I know this can be difficult, but a student can try. At the very least, try to look at your notes before the day of the test.

A good tactic is adding the important or difficult information to a study sheet as soon as you have learned it. If you continue with the study sheet then you will have a full sheet that you can easily review before the test.

Another way to study for a test is to cram two days in advance, instead of one… or check out this article for study tips!

4. Socialize More

The third resolution is to socialize more. Make new friends or try to become closer to your current friends. Go out to eat or have a movie night. To make new friends, be friendly and inviting to new people. Most importantly, make new friends in the classes you take.Any time you take a new class, it is important to make a buddy to share notes with and to text when the material just doesn’t make sense. Friends are for more than just the good times, they are also there for times of desperation. If you want to make new friends, check out these tips to socialize better!

These resolutions aren't that hard to follow and will make a huge difference in your life if you give them a try! Even if you only try one of these, your life will gain some great improvements.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
