We all have those moments where we just don't feel right. Whether it be the dreaded writer's block, or simply the lack of motivation to get something done. Here are some methods you can use to get yourself back up on your feet and ready to work.
1. Go out and do something.
Whatever it is that you like to do with your free time, do that. Go for a run, hike on your favorite trail, or visit the beach and breathe in the salty sky. Sometimes the quickest fix is simply leaving your work space.
"Go where you feel the most alive."
2. Read a book or listen to music.
Picking up a good book or listening to your favorite music can ween your mind away from whatever stress or thoughts are tying you down. It's such a beautiful feeling getting lost in artists' words.
"The world is so much bigger than your brain -- stop living inside your head."
3. Engage in conversation.
Talk to someone, whether it be your coworker, friend or a stranger you come across at the park. Face to face conversation is refreshing, and you can learn so much by putting yourself out there and talking to someone new.
"People often forget that kindness is free."
4. Reorganize your space.
When you return to your office or work space, clean up your surroundings and organize your items. Having a clean and tidy space will help you stay focused and diligent.
"Have less, do more, be more."
Hopefully you can get past whatever is holding you back. Remember that it is normal to occasionally feel unmotivated and uninspired, but don't let yourself fall into those feelings for long -- you got this.
"I look with my heart and my ears and my mind because beauty is lost looking just with your eyes."
