4 Ways to Bounce Back After the Weekend

.

Let’s be honest, some of the best times of our lives are also times we have trouble remembering. Whether it’s a birthday, bachelor or bachelorette party, or you’re reuniting with old friends - hitting the town and cutting loose is something everyone needs to do from time to time. While this can be a great thing for special occasions, there is always the challenge of waking up Monday morning and heading back to work.

If you have been wanting to find some great ways to bounce back after a great weekend, here is everything you need to know!

1. Don’t Call Out, Call for an IV Therapy Treatment

This option isn’t available in every city, but if it is offered where you live, taking advantage of mobile IV therapy services can be a game changer. Having a great weekend can look like a lot of things, and sometimes it can create minor inconveniences and light headaches and that’s it. Other times, however, the hangover can hit you hard and be something that threatens to keep you in bed far past the time you were supposed to clock in.

If you find yourself in a spot where life is painful and you don’t think you can pull through and make it to work - before calling out, check to see if you have access to an iv drip therapy service. This kind of service is unique in that it can quickly get you virtually in front of a physician that can prescribe an IV treatment specifically for you.

This means that you can get a powerful, prescribed IV drip therapy delivered to your hotel, apartment, or even a parking lot. This kind of immediate treatment can help turn your entire day around so that you don’t have to call out of work or risk getting in trouble. True, this is a last-digit resort and something that you probably shouldn’t use unless you would actually be sick without it - but it can come in clutch. Next time you have a crazy weekend, don’t call out Monday morning, but check and see if you have access to an IV drip therapy service!

2. Get Hydrated

Hangover 101, hydration is key to getting over it quickly. Contrary to popular belief, alcohol itself is not the main culprit for dehydration when it comes to feeling hungover. Yes, alcohol in abundance isn’t a healthy substance and it will negatively affect your muscles, your brain, and almost everything it comes into contact with - but typically the feelings of hydration are due to simply not drinking water.

When people go out for a good time and have drinks, it can be challenging to consistently keep up with your water intake. If you are already drinking cocktails and beer, you may not feel thirsty, so it’s easy to forget that you need to drink hydrating liquids as well as your fun ones!

This is why immediately treating your hangover with hydration is a great move when trying to bounce back on Monday. If you wake up with a headache, sore throat, and dry mouth - start off with some water and then graduate to drinks with electrolytes. That could be Gatorade or Pedialight. Any kind of drink that has healthy electrolytes will help you hydrate faster and give your body the nutrients that it needs.

3. Eat Breakfast

This one can be tricky. If you find yourself in bad shape and need something more intense like IV drip therapy, eating may not be on the proverbial table. However, if you wake up to a mild hangover, some brain fog, and a headache, eating can be a great way to bounce back. Not only does it give your body the nutrients it needs to go into the day strong, but it can also help lessen the symptoms of a hangover.

This is also something that is different from person to person. Some people swear by greasy food as a great way to overcome hangover-type symptoms, while others stick to healthy options. In either case, carbs are typically a person’s best friend when it comes to overcoming hangover-type symptoms.

4. Don’t Overstress Your Eyes

Yes, there is going to be an element of shame involved with wearing sunglasses indoors - but when push comes to shove and you need to perform for your job, you gotta do what you gotta do. If you are experiencing some hangover symptoms, oftentimes they can be antagonized by exposure to light. So, if this is the case, mitigate these challenges as much as possible with a pair of sunglasses.

In the end, showing up to your job and being productive is worth the minor inconvenience of wearing some shades indoors.

Conclusion

Having a great weekend and then bouncing back into normal life will always have its challenges. Depending on how good of a time you had over the weekend, you could be good to go with some electrolytes, or you may need an IV drip therapy. Regardless, there are ways that you can bounce back into normal life and still have a productive Monday!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
