The holidays are fast approaching and crunch time of buying presents is coming, but sometimes it's just so hard. No matter how many people you shop for it becomes a daunting task, where do you even start? Here are a few ideas to kick start your holiday shopping!

1. Online Shopping (Gift Sections): During the holiday season a lot of online stores have gift sections with different sections.

Here are a few examples:

Hot Topic: http://www.hottopic.com/holiday/

In Hot Topic's holiday gift guide they have all kinds of sections for Christmas shopping, ranging from gifts under certain prices to white elephant gifts to gifts for him and her. This is a great place to start shopping for all your fandom friends and family.

Forever21: http://www.forever21.com/holidayshop/default.aspx

Another easy access place for holiday gift guides. They also have the holiday gifts for him and her section as well sections for cold weather items, bundles, and stocking stuffers starting at $1.

2. Online Shopping (Wish Lists):

The simplest way to start your search for gifts is ask your family (maybe even close friends) to make a wish list of some sort. An easy way and typical way in my family is to make an amazon wish list and update it every so often because this also helps for birthdays. Another way for the family that doesn't have an amazon account is to put links in an email and send them to those family members. I use this for my extended family to give them some choices so you don't know exactly what they're getting you.

3. The Simple Way:

The easiest way to insure your gift is well received is to give cash or a gift card. This is perfect for relatives and friends that are picky or hard to shop for.

4. The Creative Way:

Not all gifts have to be bought in one piece, if you happen to be the creative one in your family or friend group you can use your skills to make something wonderful!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
