When you're in your school years, summer is often the season of choice, mostly because of summer break.

But now that I'm almost 24 and feeling like a real adult, I have a new appreciation for autumn. I love the cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, the electric bill that's not nearly as ridiculous, and using rolled down windows in place of air conditioning. And I'm not alone. In fact you, the person reading this right now, probably have a ridiculous and far-reaching love for autumn. So don't listen to those naysayers! Use these tricks to celebrate fall all year round.

1. Make Indoor S'mores

There's something about autumn campfires that stick with you, and part of that is the marshmallows! Hah! Get it? ....Anyway, even the thought of having a s'more--a sticky, gooey, marshmallowy, chocolatey, graham-crackery goodness is enough to make you wish it was fall. But you don't have to have a campfire to make them! Follow this link for the recipe.

2. A Skull Coat

Fall means Halloween, and Halloween means skull print! You can look classy and spooky in this extra long pea coat. And don't worry about wearing it whatever season it is! It's just flowery enough for a rainy spring day, and dark enough for winter. You might want to skip summer, though, since that would be a little hot.

3. Make A Bookmark

As a child you probably pressed leaves or flowers at some point. Autumn leaves are so beautiful, so why not save them to look at when all the trees are bare? It may even last you until the new green leaves are on the trees again. There are many ways to do it, but you can find one set of instructions here.

4. Buy a Mini Fireplace

Nothing is quite as cozy as sitting around a fireplace when the weather starts to change. With this mini fireplace, you can have a small fireplace in your apartment or home, even if there's not one built in!

Autumn happens only once a year, but that doesn't mean you have to leave behind the traditions all year long!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
