The 4 Types Of Sisters Everyone Should Have

I was never blessed with sisters. I never had to worry about anyone borrowing my clothes. I never had to bother hiding my makeup, because my brothers certainly weren't interested in it. I never had biological sisters, but I do have my chosen sisters, and they are all a blessing in their own ways. I have 4 sisters, and these are who they are:

1. My Person

Not all of you are going to be Grey's Anatomy fans, but for those of you that are, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Your person is who you would call to help you drag a dead body across the floor, and should I ever have that need, this is my person. We've been together since third grade and I think she might know me better than any other person on the planet does. We've laughed together constantly, I've cried, and she has tried to make me laugh as I cry because she has no clue how to deal with it. We know exactly what will make the other one burst into flames, and we know that nothing read: nothing is off limits as a topic of conversation. I can go to her with absolutely anything, and vice versa. These past two months away from each other have been the hardest thing we've done together, because we've never gone that long without seeing each other. We fight, we threaten to beat each other up, and we call each other out when one of us being an idiot. She's my person.

2. The Tiny but Mighty One

She stands at a mere 5 feet 3/4 inch tall, and she could probably throw you straight across the room if she wanted to. While her tiny frame is full of fury and sass, she's also one of the most loyal friends you could imagine. She shares my fierce love of Penn State, and has more shoes than any one person should own (this is not a complaint, because I love stealing them.). Her house has become "Sister Central" over the past few years, and has seen many a sleepover, and many a midnight fridge raid. While she appears tiny and adorable, she has the musical taste of your average frat boy. She's my go to when I have the rare urge to try a ridiculously hard workout, and when I need to know the best way to ingest kale without vomiting. In short, the wonders of this pint sized beauty never cease, and I love her immensely for them.

3. The Passionate One

Also a tiny dynamite, She is passionate in everything that she does. She has this absolutely inextinguishable fire that burns deep in her soul. In everything she does, she is fiercely passionate and rigorously devoted. She speaks eloquently, and her tongue dances tiny poems as she speaks, and sometimes I'm not even so sure that she knows she is doing it. Her handwriting is as beautiful as her words, it seems to twirl upon the page. I am lucky to have her, because she is also passionate about her friends. She comes running when you call, and she will hold you and whisper sweet words as you cry. She's my favorite person to discuss Hamilton with, and i crave the deep conversations we can have deep into the night. She wonderful, old soul, and I think everyone should have her in their lives.

4. The Adorable One

We all have that one friend that is just too adorable and sweet for words. She is kind, and gentle, and has a wicked sense of humor if you scrape past the surface. She has a hugely contagious laugh, and is overall just a good time. You can count on her to turn an awkward situation into one where everyone is laughing, even if it is at the expense of herself. While I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like to, I'm always happy and in a good mood when I do finally get to spend some time with her. She's the oldest of our posse, and usually takes on the role of the "mom" friend, but she's the most lenient mother that I've ever known.Sometimes looks are deceiving, but she looks like one of the kindest souls you could meet, and I can confirm, that she is indeed.

I've been blessed by this great group of friends, and I feel sure that they'll be with me for the rest of my days. If you haven't found a posse that you feel this wonderful and giddy about, I suggest you find one, because you're really missing out.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
