Just like every other person in this world I have days sometimes weeks where I am just feeling down. Most of the time I just want to be alone and make myself even sadder which, is not a good thing to do. Here are some things that I do when I am feeling down to lift my spirits.

1. Listen To Music.

Music can always either put me in a better mood or make me cry. Therefore, I suggest listening to upbeat music that doesn't make you feel like laying in bed and sobbing into your pillow. Turn on a speaker and blast that shit.

2. Go Out.

Even though youre feeling down and may not feel like going anywhere or being social it is needed. Just sitting in your room being sad is not going to help you feel any better. Everytime I am feeling down I always either have to go for a drive, walk, or just go to a store. I am still having my time but I am getting out of my room at the same time. So go grab a coffee, some food, or have a shopping spree. Or just go to a party and get wasted. (This is a joke.)

3. Pamper Yourself.

This is a major uplifter. When you're feeling good your mood is going to do a 360 for sure. So take a long shower, put on a face mask, drink water (or wine), do your nails and makeup, take some cute pictures and post them EVERYWHERE! You will start to feel a whole lot better.

4. Write/Read A Book/Watch Movie.

Writing has always been a great outlet for me to write when I feel some type of way. I can rant, write about happy memories or sad ones that I just need to get my feelings out about. So if you are like me and always feel like you don't want to bother others with your emotions writing is there for you.

Reading is also great because it can get your mind off of what was bringing you down in the first place. So crack open a good novel and forget about all of your problems. (Or take a nap if that's your thing.)

Watching movies is the same as reading for me. I can just watch a really good movie and it will change my mood completely.

No matter if you're grumpy or sad just try to find at least one thing, not just a person, that you know will always be able to lift your mood. Distracting yourself and staying busy is always the best way to keep you from focusing on feeling down. Keep your head up!

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.

Tamatoa created a liar filled with shiny things simply for the purpose of tricking fish to enter and become his food. He too experiences a lesson in how easy it is to be tricked by shiny things when Moana distracts him by covering herself in glowing algae so Maui can grab his hook.
