Growing up in Pittsburgh doesn't seem super entertaining from the outside, but I have learned where to go for fun and adventure.
1. Ice Skating at PPG Place.
Every year, the city sets up a huge ice arena in the middle of downtown complete with a giant Christmas tree. It's a great winter time activity that's cheap and fun!
2. Holiday Market.
In Market Square, the city sets up these little cottages that sell foods and presents for friends and family. Even if you don't plan on buying anything, you can still have a good time just seeing all the vendors.
3. Phipp's Holiday Flower Show and Lights.
A Pittsburgh tradition is to drive to Oakland and look at the flowers, but especially seeing the light displays outside at Phipps. It's a great place to take pictures and to enjoy the winter season.
4. Seeing a Christmas Show.
The Pittsburgh CLO puts on the Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, and various Christmas-themed shows every December that are always enjoyable with friends or family.
